There's an old adage in stock-car racing that the car that wins Sunday, sells Monday, and by returning to their roots and racing cars that look like the ones on display in the show room, the auto manufacturers figure that it's a move that can only help increase the Monday rush to purchase.

This “you wrecked me, so I am going to wreck you” mentality is something that happens on short tracks all over the country. You see that on your local tracks on Friday and Saturday nights where the same guys are racing together all the time. It just bothers me a lot to see things go in the direction they have gone in lately.

Based off feedback from a 12,000-member fan council (created by NASCAR and surveyed regularly online) that demanded more action, a series of rule changes were implemented over the past 18 months — double-file restarts, multiple attempts at overtime finishes, a return to the traditional spoiler. It's resulted in first-half records for leaders, lead changes per race and green-flag passes.

Johnson has made eight Sprint Cup Series starts at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, where he has earned three wins, three top-five and four top-10 finishes.
Johnson has completed 85.2% (1091 of 1281) of competition laps on the 2.5-mile track and has led 128.

116 spins clock wise.
Spinning clockwise threw up a little dust, no harm now to the back of the pack. Dixie Motor Speedway 07/16/2010.
Lynn and I had a great time at Dixie. 116 spun in front of us, rooted for Mike Wine #24, little dust by the orange car and the figure 8 still looks dangerous.( we are still new)!
